Biography
Pathology Laboratories, Inc. (PathLabs), a Sonic Healthcare Clinical Laboratory and division of Sonic Healthcare USA, Inc., is privileged to welcome Anastasia M. Canacci, M.D., as Medical Director. Dr. Canacci joins PathLabs with an extensive career in laboratory medicine.
Dr. Canacci received her medical degree from The Ohio State University and Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Columbus, Ohio. She completed her residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. This was followed by fellowships in Cytopathology and Genitourinary Pathology at The University of Rochester in Rochester, New York.
Dr. Canacci joined Sonic Healthcare USA while practicing with Greensboro Pathology Associates in Greensboro, NC, a Sonic Healthcare Pathology Practice. Dr. Canacci is expanding her leadership role in pathology as Medical Director of PathLabs.
Through her research experience in pathology, Dr. Canacci has published material related to the pathology and detection of numerous types of cancer, including breast, ovarian, lung and urothelial cancers.
Dr. Canacci is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and Cytopathology.
